Triforet Alpin Resort Hinterstoder: How parquet flooring perfects modern alpine chic

Parquet Stories Current

Nestled amid the mountains of Hinterstoder, the Triforet Alpin Resort combines a natural atmosphere with exclusive design. The chalets and apartments exude alpine modernity – thanks in part to over 3,000 m² of our wide planks in Oak Country, which features a heavily brushed surface and four-sided bevels. The SEDA oiled/waxed surface in the special color ARKO GREY was perfectly matched to the interior of the luxury resort.

Alpine chic – a style that combines nature and modernity

The “alpine chic” trend reinterprets traditional alpine materials: wood, natural stone, and warm textures meet modern shapes, clean lines, and elegant color schemes. The Triforet Resort perfectly embodies this style. The rooms create a feeling of comfort without appearing rustic – they remain modern, high-quality, and timeless.

Parquet plays a central role in this design concept. It represents the connecting element between nature and contemporary interiors. Choosing the right flooring influences the entire character of a room – and this project impressively demonstrates exactly that.

Grey parquet flooring – timeless, elegant, and perfectly combinable

Grey parquet flooring was deliberately chosen because it gives the alpine design a fresh and modern touch. The special color ARKO GREY offers several advantages:

- It looks modern without being cold.
- It can be combined perfectly with black, chrome, and neutral gray tones.
- brings calm and clarity to open floor plans
- supports the high-quality look of the resort

Grey wood floors are a key trend in alpine architecture, as they combine naturalness with urban elegance – ideal for a resort that offers luxury in harmony with the mountain world.

Heavily brushed surface – noticeable naturalness and high resistance for the parquet

The heavily brushed parquet surface creates a particularly pronounced wood structure. This not only makes the floor visually interesting, but also offers functional advantages:

- Natural feel with noticeable character
- Robust and durable – ideal for high-traffic hotel areas
- Emphasizes the grain of the oak and enhances the rustic charm
- Less sensitive to small scratches

This surface treatment really comes into its own in alpine projects where authenticity and a connection to nature are the focus.

Further details on parquet flooring

Rustic grading – oak parquet that brings rooms to life

The rustic grading of our oak brings out natural knots, grains, and color nuances. These features lend each room individuality and emphasize the alpine character of the resort. Combined with the grey color tone, this creates an exciting blend of authenticity and modernity – a look that feels both cozy and elegant.

Oiled parquet – perfect for heavy-duty use in hotels

Scheucher's SEDA oil/wax surface is one of the highest quality surface finishes in its category, combining a natural look with impressive durability. It offers excellent resistance to common household chemicals, is easy to clean and, if necessary, just as easy to repair – even partially, without the need for costly complete renovations.

Thanks to the uncomplicated care with care wax oil, the floor remains permanently protected and retains its immaculate appearance even in heavily frequented areas. For hotels, this means a robust, aesthetically appealing wood floor that can always be kept in perfect visual condition despite heavy use.

A sense of well-being at Triforet Resort

At Triforet Alpin Resort, the parquet flooring forms the basis for the high-quality interior. The color palette of the chalets and apartments, consisting of gray, black, and chrome, finds a harmonious counterpart in the flooring, which exudes natural warmth and clear modernity. The large windows create a sophisticated interplay of light and shadow, which shows off the heavily brushed surface to particular advantage and clearly accentuates the structure of the oak.

Arko Grey, specially matched to the interior, provides a contemporary, neutral base that brings both openness and tranquility to the room. The gray parquet thus blends in with the other elements and supports the creation of a consistent, modern alpine ambience.

In addition to its thoughtful architecture and harmonious design, the resort naturally also offers extensive wellness and leisure facilities and excellent cuisine, so that guests can not only enjoy the aesthetics, but also be pampered and actively experience the alpine surroundings: https://triforet.at/en/
