When parquet flooring encounters so many facets of the forest, it can only feel at home. At the 4★★★★S Waldhotel am Notschreipass, the wooden floor meets the Black Forest in its most beautiful form—as a natural inspiration for space and atmosphere. The forest is reflected in the details: in the warm wood tones of the parquet flooring, the wooden furniture, and even in the subtle forest motifs on the wallpaper. This creates a harmonious interplay between architecture and nature, creating a sense of calm, security, and a unique living atmosphere.
Longstrip Oak Nebla for the 4★★★★S Waldhotel am Notschreipass – natural ambience meets design
In this traditional hotel, we were given the opportunity to implement a project that is a perfect fit for this property: around 800 m² of rustic oak plank flooring – finished in the grayish shade “Nebla.”
As soon as you enter the rooms, it becomes clear how much a wooden floor influences the atmosphere. The balanced wide plank flooring makes everything appear more exclusive and spacious and brings a clear line into the room. The rustic oak in the Country grade deliberately shows knots, natural structures, and small color differences. This is exactly what makes it lively and suitable for a forest hotel.
The Nebla shade is reminiscent of a slightly overcast morning in the Black Forest – a subtle gray that allows the wood to retain its warmth while also looking modern.

Our parquet flooring in the suites creates a pleasant, cozy atmosphere. Wood feels good underfoot, has sound-insulating properties, and contributes to a balanced indoor climate. After a long day in the fresh air, it's a wonderful feeling to walk across real oak parquet flooring and continue to enjoy that feeling indoors for a long time afterward.
The forest wallpaper on the walls further emphasizes the theme of nature. Leaves, tree trunks, and forest motifs meet real wood flooring—a clear concept has been pursued here. Some rooms feature small wooden forest cabins that serve as play areas and retreats for children. Surrounded by real parquet flooring, children build their own little adventure worlds and feel like they are in the middle of the forest—with all the comforts of a hotel.

A forest hotel thrives on its surroundings – and that is exactly what our parquet flooring reflects. The view from the windows looks directly into the treetops. The daylight changes depending on the weather and time of day, constantly revealing the structures of the oak plank flooring in different ways. This creates a harmonious connection between the interior and nature.
The more rustic Country grade of the parquet flooring emphasizes the character of the building. Visible knots and natural features are deliberately desired. These lively surface characteristics create a harmonious connection between architecture and nature and emphasize the special atmosphere of the forest hotel in a very stylish, professional way.

Oak is durable and timeless. High-quality parquet flooring can be used for many years and refurbished if necessary. This not only creates a sustainable solution in terms of appearance, but also makes economic sense for hotel operations.
For us and our long-standing partner Deco Point Mayer, this project was something special: 800 m² of parquet flooring that gives the Waldhotel a natural foundation and makes the connection to the surroundings tangible – from the first step into the room to the view from the window into the treetops.
Parquet flooring in Nebla color – Timeless elegance for modern construction and residential projects
The Nebla color in particular impresses with its understated elegance. The soft, grayish color scheme combines natural wood structure with modern color aesthetics while retaining the warm radiance of the wood. This allows parquet flooring in the Nebla color variant to adapt flexibly to different architectural and design concepts, creating a timeless, calm, and high-quality interior effect.
The color shows its particular strength in combination with various oak grades. In rustic grades with lively knots, striking grains, and natural wood characteristics, it emphasizes the authentic character of the wood and creates a lively, natural atmosphere. In calmer parquet grades with more homogeneous structures, on the other hand, the color appears particularly elegant, clear, and architecturally understated. This makes wide plank flooring or other laying patterns in Nebla oak suitable for both classic and modern construction and residential projects, supporting a harmonious, long-lasting room concept.
