Modern architecture meets stunning natural beauty – Apartment with Formentera oak plank flooring
This approximately 140-square-meter loft apartment with an integrated office was designed by the architectural firm Jakub Cigler Architekti. The interior design follows a clean aesthetic: minimalist materials, precise, artful details, and seamless transitions between the living and working areas, featuring elegant Scheucher plank flooring.

Parquet – shaped by wind, weather, and time
The distinctive look of the Elevation Oak Formentera parquet floor begins in the forest. The wide-plank flooring is crafted from select oak wood that features so-called moon rings. These unique growth patterns are caused by exceptional conditions during the tree’s life cycle, such as severe weather events or climatic influences.
The resulting color patterns remain hidden at first and are only revealed through Scheucher’s special smoking process. Subsequently, a specially developed driftwood lye refines the surface and further enhances the wood’s fascinating depth.
The result is a parquet floor with exceptional character, whose natural grain makes every single plank a true work of art.

The perfect companion to modern architecture
In this project, the distinctive character of the Elevation Formentera Oak wide-plank flooring is purposefully integrated into the design. The dark tones of the parquet contrast with the light-colored walls and expansive windows. At the same time, built-in furniture, wall paneling, and other interior design elements echo the various shades of the floor. This creates a harmonious overall look that underscores the apartment’s clean architectural language.
The effect of the planks is particularly striking along the long sightlines of the floor plan. In the hallway, the parquet’s distinctive textures guide the eye through the space, while in the living and dining area they provide a pleasant backdrop for the minimalist furnishings and artistic details.
This concept is continued in the bedroom as well. The wall paneling behind the bed is also made from the same wide-plank flooring, thereby extending the unique effect of this special oak there as well.
In the office spaces, Formentera parquet creates an inspiring atmosphere.
